ABOUT DANIEL WHITTAKER
I have gained a wealth of experience across many sectors of the property industry, starting my career within the property department of a pub management company where I assisted in the asset management of a portfolio of over 400 public houses for an SPV owned by The Royal Bank of Scotland. I then moved to the hospitality and leisure department of Edward Symmons surveying practice where I gained experience in the valuation and marketing of trading assets such hotels, public houses, caravan parks and golf courses.After the financial crash in 2008 I applied the skills I had gained to the Corporate Recovery sector where I gained the additional qualification as a Registered Property Receiver. This field allowed me to build on my skills of asset management by advising lending institutions on how best to maximise the value of the assets I was appointed over through active management, such as lease negotiations and overseeing the completion of development schemes. My time in this department has made me a well-rounded surveyor gaining experience in all sectors of the property market including residential investment portfolios, residential and hotel development sites and industrial investments to name but a few.
