ABOUT DANIEL VAZHAPPILLY ABRAHAM
I am a passionate Software Test & Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation, software integration, and in-vehicle validation for embedded and safety-critical systems. With a Master’s in Automotive Software Engineering (TU Chemnitz) and a B.Sc. in Physics (Electronics & Computational), I bring both strong technical foundations and real-world engineering expertise to every project. Currently, I work at MBition GmbH (Mercedes-Benz AG) as a Test Automation Engineer (Working Student) in the Instrument Cluster UI validation team. My work involves: Running and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) Executing CAPL scripts in CANoe (HIL/SIL) for feature validation Performing E-release acceptance tests, low-level ECU flashing, and in-vehicle validation Testing across ADAS, Hybrid, Navigation, Parktronic, Lighting, and Safety functions Reporting critical bugs in E-release and integration testing, boosting overall software quality Previously, as an Intern at MBition, I supported Driving Functions integration with: Merge request testing, regression checks, and variant handling Euro NCAP compliance tests (bench & in-vehicle smoke testing) Low-level, MSOC, and Vehicle CPU flashing for safety & driving functionalities Debugging with DLT Viewer, Magna Blue Pirat, TRACE32, plus crash analysis in QNX/Linux Achieving HV2 Certification for high-voltage vehicle testing Beyond Mercedes-Benz, I contributed at: Fraunhofer ENAS – Python GUI development & LSTM-based co-simulation TU Chemnitz Automotive Lab – AUTOSAR-based ADAS with dSpace SystemDesk/VEOS & ECU Test Leibniz Institute – Python-driven automation for large-scale scientific data analysis Key Strengths: CANoe/CAPL, Jenkins, GitLab, DOORS, ECU flashing (LL, QFIL, MSOC, Vehicle CPU), AUTOSAR, ADAS/Euro NCAP validation, HIL/SIL, Python, MATLAB, dSpace, ECU Test, TRACE32, DTS Monaco, HV2 safety certification, Agile (Scrum), ISO/DIN compliance. Highlights: Certified for HV2 High-Voltage Testing at Mercedes-Benz Reported major bugs that improved software reliability in E-releases Validated 200+ Instrument Cluster features (ADAS, Hybrid, Navigation, Safety) Supported Euro NCAP compliance through in-vehicle ADAS validation I am driven to shape the future of automotive innovation, ADAS, and embedded validation, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality. At the same time, I am open to opportunities across aerospace, medical, industrial automation, and other industries where I can contribute as a Software Test & Systems Engineer.
