ABOUT DANIEL TRUJILLO
Associate Professor of the Practice at the University of Denver, I explore how innovation, sustainability, and disruption shape real estate, construction, and housing markets. My research blends qualitative insights and quantitative analysis—from uncovering cultural barriers to automation in construction to analyzing short-term rentals and second-home ownership. These projects provide fresh insight into housing stock, sustainability, and market dynamics.Teaching and mentoring students are at the heart of my work. I lead courses in project management, sustainability, legal and risk issues, and corporate real estate, while coaching competition teams, sponsoring independent studies, and creating hands-on learning opportunities. I also serve on the American Arbitration Association Construction Panel of Neutrals and have held board positions with CoreNet Global’s Colorado Chapter and the Associated Schools of Construction.
