About Daniel Stinson
As a Water/Wastewater EIT at HDR, I seek to further my understanding of engineered systems that are integral to water treatment operations. Currently, much of my time is dedicated to understanding how treatment operations can be optimized to remove, and in some cases destroy, contaminants of emerging concern. As I continue on my professional career path I enjoy opportunities to advocate for sustainability within engineering design and everyday life. In a previous internship, I created a plastic water bottle recycling initiative that diverted over 100 lbs. of plastic from landfills, while simultaneously raising money for the Maine Cancer Foundation via state bottle deposit bills. My hobbies include nature walks/hikes, reading, and puzzles/strategy games.
