ABOUT DANIEL SMITH
I am a Computer Science student with a predicted first-class degree, passionate about learning and staying current with emerging technologies. I have designed Lua games with over 150 million combined plays, and created internal software used in multiple Asda stores, where I work as a Store Assistant. I have also gained valuable work experience at The Access Group, an international software development company. I am open to new opportunities in software development, where I can thrive in collaborative environments and contribute to innovative solutions.So far, during my time at the University of Leicester, I have utilised and developed my coding problem-solving skills as a Computer Lab Assistant, helping students in their lab sessions. This role was offered to me as one of the top performing students in my course. I further leveraged my skills in web development to design and host the society\'s website as the Publicity Officer for LeicesterCS, the Leicester Computer Science Society. It was incredibly rewarding to see LeicesterCS be named the Best Student Group (Society) of the Year by the Leicester Students Union! I recently completed my placement year at IBM, and have now begun my final year at university, ready to take the next step into a graduate role.
