ABOUT DANIEL ANDRADE
Senior Mechanical Engineer student at Lafayette College, looking for a full-time position in the energy sector. Being born in Ecuador has shaped the way I see our involvement with nature which sparked a passion for renewable energy. I want to help shape the world in to one that is ready to be run by the right amount of renewable energy.Since 2020, I\'ve taken multiple courses on the field including an online course by Harvard titled Energy Within Environmental Constraints, and a summer abroad course in Germany called Cultures of Sustainability.My work experience includes 2 internships in the energy sector at PPL Electric Utilities and Ameren Missouri where I worked at the Callaway Nuclear Plant, a summer with the WindAid Institute building a wind turbine for a community with no access to electricity, and a project management role at Century Promise.This Senior year, I\'m focusing on my Capstone Project where my team is working to build an operational wind turbine on Lafayette\'s campus to be used for research and academic purposes, and starting my first non-profit Amazolar to help communities back in Ecuador with little to no access to electricity and resources.As I approach graduation, I\'m happy and proud of what I\'ve accomplished and yet I recognize I still have much to learn and to do out in the world!
