Provide strategic leadership and direction to a Department of Security Services team of over 200 personnel, including Security Associates, Console Operators, and armed Special Conservator of the Peace (SCOP) Officers.• Spearhead talent acquisition efforts for the department, attracting and onboarding qualified personnel while fostering a diverse and inclusive team.• Champion operational excellence through the proactive review, revision, development, and implementation of effective policies, procedures, and work profiles.• Ensure ongoing compliance with SCOP and Firearms Registration requirements for all departmental sworn officers, in accordance with Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) regulations.• Oversee the use of security technology, including surveillance systems, access control, incident reporting, and inventory management.• Direct the department\'s multi-million-dollar operating budget, aligning expenditures with both immediate operational needs and long-term strategic business objectives.• Conduct thorough risk and threat assessments for the museum, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing preventative security measures to safeguard assets and personnel.• Develop and implement detailed operational plans for major events, exhibitions, and functions.• Provide discreet and comprehensive executive protection services for high-profile individuals.• Lead complex investigations with a focus on thoroughness, objectivity, and adherence to legal and ethical principles.• Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive training school and program, ensuring staff proficiency in security protocols and emergency response procedures.• Serve as the alternate Virginia Emergency Support Team (VEST) Liaison Officer (VLO) and Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), representing the VMFA.
