Serve as an agency focal point for internal and external coordination and cooperation on over $200 million in annual assistance in Vietnam and Laos. • Lead and manage communication and information flows between senior leadership, agency teams, the interagency, and overseas offices • Coordinate policy positions and strategic planning and objectives, fulfilling annual reporting and appropriations requirements, Congressional communications, and high-level visits. • Monitor and analyze rapidly changing political, policy, or legal/regulatory/policy developments • Draft and clear briefing documents, action memos, talking points, written analyses, Congressionally- mandated reports, testimonies, papers, and speeches for senior-level participation in interagency policy discussions, Congressional hearings, and engagements with foreign officials. • Represent the Vietnam portfolio in external meetings and briefings including Congressional briefings, National Security Council meetings, interagency issues-based working groups, and others. • Develop and maintain relationships and networks both within the USG and within the DC foreign policy community to better inform agency engagement in country.• Previous experience with the Burma, Indonesia, ASEAN, and Cambodia portfolios.
