ABOUT DANIEL REID
I currently work as an Executive Assistant to the Director of Economy & Place within the Chief Executive Office at Oxfordshire County Council. It’s a board-level role where I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes work, managing a packed diary and inbox, prepping for senior meetings, and coordinating across internal teams and external partners to keep things running smoothly.Right now, I’m focusing on early wins around structure and efficiency, things like using Copilot and Copilot agents to cut back on manual admin and free up time for more strategic work. My aim is to bring pace and clarity to a heavy workload and create more space at the top for forward thinking.I’ve always been interested in going beyond the “support” part of my role and getting more involved in shaping how things work. That’s part of what led me to become Co-Chair of the Young Persons Network at work. It\'s a chance to have a voice, drive positive change, and help create a space where early-career professionals feel seen and supported. Before this, I worked in Adult Social Care, supporting over 18 directors across the South East region of the UK through ADASS (Association of Directors of Adult Social Care) managing schedules, leading on cross-agency comms, and building systems that made everything run a little smoother. On the side, I also help out with a small vintage bicycle business, doing admin and social media, it keeps me creative, organised, and occasionally nostalgic for steel frames.Always happy to connect, share ideas, or talk about where I can add value next.
