ABOUT DANIEL REES
Accomplished senior leader within the Banking Industry having completed in excess of 26 years with the HSBC Group. In my early career, I had the privilege of supporting newly incorporated start up businesses, then over time and through various promotions, progressed to structuring complex debt and working capital facilities for UK PLC’s between 2014 and 2020. Following this, I spent 2 years working in HSBC’s UK Risk Team as a Lead Approver for our Mid-Market & Large Corporate businesses (£50m to £500m+ Turnover Businesses). I also sat on the risk committee which appraised clients with deteriorating credit profiles and implemented appropriate action plans. I then moved into ‘Leadership’ and have successfully led both coverage banking and Invoice Finance/Trade Finance teams across the South of the UK. I’m passionate about leveraging all elements of my experience to bring value to the teams I lead and the clients we support. Finally I also enjoy coordinating HSBC’s ‘Accelerate’ programme which aims to develop career aspirant managers by providing the skills and experience to achieve promotion into more senior managerial role’s.
