About Daniel R. Greear

I’m a career property and casualty insurance professional with most of my experience being on the carrier side. I reside in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and I currently work at Travelers as an Account Executive on the Construction Team. From March 2023 to March 2025, I worked as a Middle Market Underwriter at Chubb. I also previously worked for Auto-Owners Insurance Company from 2015 to 2023. My eight years with Auto-Owners included auto and property claims, personal lines underwriting, and commercial lines underwriting. Other insurance experience includes interning at Trustpoint Insurance Agency in 2014 and receiving an Associates in General Insurance (AINS) designation in 2019. I graduated cum laude from East Tennessee State University in December 2014 with a BA in History and minor in English. I completed my degree in three and a half years, a semester of which was spent at the University of Roehampton in London, UK. I was awarded the Eagle Scout award in 2011 and am a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Other organizations that I belong to are the Grand Lodge of Virginia and the International Winston Churchill Society. I was raised to the rank of Master Mason at Marshall Lodge No. 39 in Lynchburg, VA in December 2016 and have been a member of the ICS since September 2017.I have a basic understanding of French from my studies at ETSU and am currently working on becoming fluent in the language.

   I am a Middle Market Construction Underwriter for North Carolina and South Carolina, located in Travelers’ Charlotte office. I underwrite new business and also maintain a renewal book. Additionally, a significant part of my position is dedicated to in-person agency engagement and working with our brokers to build and maintain a strong relationships.
