ABOUT DANIEL POCKETT
As a dedicated BSc Finance student at the University of Exeter, I am thrilled to be joining the Audit team at Hazlewoods for my industrial placement year (20••••27), starting this July. I am passionate about the dynamic field of finance and eager to apply the comprehensive foundation I’ve built in Financial Accounting, Data Analysis, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, and Financial Investment into a practical, real-world setting.Beyond my academic pursuits, I have gained valuable hands-on experience working at Austen Group. There, I was exposed to all elements of a successful, established company, collaborating with teams across Customer Service, Trade, Web Management, International Purchasing, Accounting, and Warehouse fulfillment. This cross-functional exposure developed my teamwork and communication skills while giving me a great understanding of business operations. Crucially, it was here that I discovered my strong aptitude for numerical analysis and account management, solidifying my ambition to build a dynamic and versatile career within the broader finance industry.Additionally, I am an active member of the University\'s Business and Finance Society, where I collaborate with like-minded individuals through socials and events.
