On July 1, 2019, Dan was promoted to Managing Partner, Washington, D.C. of Tully Rinckey, PLLC, an international law firm headquartered at Albany, New York. From July 29, 2013 to March 3, 2018 Dan served as the first Executive Director for Intelligence Community Whistleblowing & Source Protection, working for the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community. From October 2010 to July 2013, Dan was the Director for Whistleblowing & Transparency for the Inspector General of the Department of Defense. From 2004 to 2010, Dan led the Inspector General\'s directorate (CRI) investigating the alleged unlawful treatment of sources (\"whistleblower\") in Department of Defense investigations. His investigative directorate was divided into two teams: the National Security Reprisal Team (NSRT) and the Procurement Fraud Reprisal Team (PFRT).
