ABOUT DANIEL OLANIYAN

Achieving a goal and making a positive impact on society has always been a source of satisfaction for me throughout the course of my life. My motivation for pursuing a degree in Chemical & Biological Engineering stems from my aspiration to work in the field of consumer goods with the ultimate goal of contributing towards creating a better world. As a third-year student at UBC Engineering, I have honed my skills in problem-solving, commercial awareness and technical communication. Driven by my interests in production processes, I endeavour to create novel methods that meet the specific requirements of varied industries worldwide. My current experience as a Metallurgical Engineering Co-op student at Sepro Mineral Systems has provided me with a deeper understanding of the instrumentation and methods required to investigate mineral processes, specifically microwave treatment of ores for mineral extraction, which is crucial in my acumen of the foundational knowledge of unit operations. I am dedicated to leveraging these skills to help companies optimize their chemical processes and streamline profitable process opportunities. With a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, data analytics, and emerging technologies, I am confident in my ability to deliver strategic insights and identify untapped opportunities for growth in the rapidly evolving process industries. Unrestricted ability to work in the United States and Canada.
