Dan is a partner in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. Dan represents project sponsors and financial institutions in a variety of domestic and international project financings in the energy and infrastructure space. Dan\'s experience spans many industries and sectors, including: • Conventional power, including the CPV Three Rivers, CPV Fairview, Panda Liberty and Patriot, Rockland PJM, Essential Power, Canal 3, and Lackawanna power financings and the private placement financing of the TransAlta South Hedland power facility in Australia; • Midstream oil & gas and petrochemicals, including the Third Coast Midstream, Midcoast, Nortex and Alder midstream financings, the Whistler, Delaware Basin Residue, Wink to Webster, Colonial and Midship pipeline financings, the DRU / Port Arthur terminal financing, the Lake Charles LNG project in Louisiana and the Manzanillo LNG project in Mexico, the Topolobampo ammonia project in Mexico, the South Louisiana methanol project, and numerous petrochemical facilities in Trinidad; • Renewable energy, including representation of the sponsors in connection with an offshore wind project and representation of the lenders in the Great River Hydro portfolio, the Terra-Gen LC facility and a current utility scale solar project, the True Green and Cypress Creek distributed generation portfolios and the Leeward wind portfolio financing; and • Infrastructure, including the private placement financing of the Savage Rail Yard and upsizing of the Indiana Toll Road financing. Mr. Michalchuk also has experience in a diverse set of other industries and sectors, including metals and mining and telecom/communications/satellites.
