ABOUT DANIEL MAXWELL
Lead physicist building commercial quantum computers at Quantinuum. Previously I worked as a Senior Research Scientist in ion microtraps at NPL, working on the test and evaluation of three-dimensional ion traps to be used for quantum information processing and metrology. Prior to this I was a postdoctoral researcher on the ALPHA (Antihydrogen Laser PHysics Apparatus) experiment at CERN. I successfully drove a development project which involved cooling positrons using laser-cooled Beryllium ions. Previously as a PhD student, I led a complex experiment which stored photons in laser-cooled, optically trapped atoms.
