Functioning as part of an in-house legal team, with over 50 members • Day to day management of the UK and Ireland acquiring, eCommerce and electronic point of sale businesses • Member of the UK leadership team and line manager of two other solicitors working in Global Payments Inc. subsidiaries in The Czech Republic • Additional support for other Global Payments Inc. subsidiaries in Spain and Malta (and previously Russia) • Key responsibilities: o advising sales and product teams on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and partners, and responding to RFPs o providing advice in relation to payments and financial services regulations and legislation in the UK and across the EU o coordinating with outside counsel in managing legal proceedings and assisting risk management and customer service departments in managing other business disputes o providing advice in relation to new products, advertising, marketing and other customer-facing activities o collaborating with other members of the legal department in handling matters that span multiple businesses across the company and involve jurisdictions outside the UK
