ABOUT DANIEL MANFRE JAIMES
I am a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA and hold a Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary. With extensive experience in power protection systems and electricity markets, my journey began at Siemens, where I spent nearly five years implementing and commissioning protection systems for medium and high voltage substations. My work included on-site technical support, configuration, and commissioning for Siemens SIPROTEC relays.After completing my MSc, I developed a robust electricity price forecasting model for the Alberta market, now used by several market players. I then joined Arcus Power Corp as one of its first employees, where I developed the company’s first hourly price forecasting model for Alberta, attracting customers and driving significant growth. I expanded our forecasting capabilities to major North American markets like ERCOT, PJM, and AESO, contributing to Arcus Power\'s evolution from a three-person team to a thriving company with 45 employees in just five years!I currently work remotely at Enverus, supporting the Power Markets group with advanced price and load forecasting models across North America.Outside of work, I enjoy playing classical guitar, watching football, and listening to rock, blues, heavy metal, and classical music.
