ABOUT DANIEL MACINTYRE
Before walking into my second year of university I had personally generated over in business sales while still being a full-time engineering student at Western It did not start that way. In fact it took me years to come to the realization that working hard at University alone would not heed me the life that I desired.I started my first year post-secondary at Carleton University\'s aerospace engineering program, doing my best to achieve perfect grades above all else. Within months after a few short conversations with industry professionals, I realized the degree alone would not get me the jobs I wanted. If I wanted a bigger future, I needed to take a different path.I began on that path by transferring to Western University with the aim of Western\'s Ivey AEO specialization. However, not only university education would set me any more apart from my peers.I knew that running my own business while in school would make me stand out and give me a shot at building the kind of future I wanted even though I had zero business experience and no idea where to start.Fortunately, I didn’t have to figure everything out on my own. Through mentorship and coaching, I transitioned from having no business experience to generating in sales in my first summer—while leading a team of students to help deliver that success.That experience was about much more than just the money. It gave me the confidence, leadership, and business acumen that completely transformed my life.Today, I have the privilege of mentoring students who are in the exact same position I once was—unsure of what comes next, but eager for something greater. Seeing them grow, succeed, and distinguish themselves from their peers has become even more rewarding than my own journey.
