ABOUT DANIEL MACDONALD

As a final-year student with a burning enthusiasm for the dynamic worlds of consulting and wealth management, I am poised to translate my academic knowledge and practical experience into impactful contributions within these industries. Education: Currently, I am on the cusp of completing my Management degree at The University of St Andrews. Throughout my academic journey, I\'ve cultivated a strong foundation in Corporate Finance, Accountancy, Strategy, Entrepreneurialism, Corporate Leadership, Change Management, and Sustainable Development which I\'m eager to apply to real-world challenges. Professional Experience: My passion for advisory services has driven me to seek hands-on experience. I\'ve had the privilege of interning at Merlin Consultancy Group and the Harris Tweed Authority working in data analysis and project management respectively. At MCG I worked largely on projecting KPI matrices, uncovering data trends and identifying operational priorities and weaknesses in filed repairs for a leading UK property development corporation. At the HTAI developed an auditable invoice management portal managing credit control whilst fiercely enforcing the IP rights of the Harris Tweed® certification mark, the world\'s oldest in continual use. These experiences have not only honed my analytical skills but also ignited my determination to pursue a career in best serving client needs. Enthusiasm and Drive: What sets me apart is my unwavering enthusiasm and relentless drive to excel. I relish the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, solve complex problems, and devise innovative strategies. In my spare time, I diligently follow industry trends and lead projects at Playfair Consultancy Group advising SME clients with my team of student consultants. Future Goals: Looking ahead, my goal is to leverage my academic knowledge, practical experience, and passion for finance to make a meaningful impact in the consulting or wealth management fields.
