Focus on cradle to grave follow through (requirements and design through test and operations) on first of a kind missions, including the HS-702 Galaxy 11, Mars Exploration Rovers (Spirit and Opportunity), Mars Science Lab (Curiosity rover), and the Surface Water and Topography mission (SWOT).Motivated to help understand key issues and pro-actively work challenges that face humanity- Space exploration and helping figure out if we are alone in the universe - Understanding the Earth system, potential human impact on it, and how to best mitigate those impacts - Working on the near term and long term need to develop a sustainable economy, and having nations and cultures peacefully co-exist in a ever more constrained world
