About Daniel Kusuma

As an undergraduate researcher at the Rutgers Lab for Machines, Manufacturing, and Mechatronics, my work focuses on advancing plasma physics and its applications. I contributed to the development of a plasma-based sanitation technology achieving a 99.9% bacterial extermination rate and oversaw a multidisciplinary initiative combining machine learning with plasma physics to optimize disinfection systems. Pursuing dual degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics at Rutgers University, I also serve as a structural engineer at AIAA Rutgers Rocket Propulsion Laboratory. My efforts include designing innovative rocket components, such as a zipper less coupler system, which enhanced aerodynamic efficiency and garnered recognition at IREC 2025. My goal is to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in aerospace systems and applied physics.

I support learners across all levels—including elementary math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and AP coursework—while also offering structured homework help, test preparation, and customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. My teaching focuses on building strong foundational understanding, improving problem-solving skills, and increasing confidence in math. Students I work with consistently demonstrate improved grades, stronger conceptual mastery, and better study habits. I am committed to delivering clear explanations, reliable support, and measurable academic progress for every student.
