ABOUT DANIEL KAHLON

As a second-year Business student at Nottingham Trent University, I am currently broadening my understanding of business through a 12-month internship as a Logistics Assistant at Pirelli. My role at Pirelli has enabled me to actively contribute to critical logistics functions, including inventory management, order processing, and shipping coordination. A major focus has been supplier negotiation and cost management, where I’ve supported initiatives that aim to raise efficiency and contribute to significant cost savings, impacting millions in operational costs. Through collaborating with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, resolve delivery challenges, and enhance quality standards, I’ve learned how supplier relationships directly influence a company’s supply chain efficiency and financial performance. In my studies, I’ve developed a strong foundation in business fundamentals, including marketing, financial management, and project management. Currently on track to achieve a First, I’m excited by how my coursework and practical experiences complement one another. Beyond this role, I bring experience in entrepreneurship through my time as an Independent Reseller at DJKSALES, where I specialized in high-demand products like shoes, clothing, and technology. This taught me about market research, customer engagement, and the technicalities of online sales channels, from eBay to social media. My customer-facing roles at Booths and Tesco further developed my communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities, which have been integral to my success at Pirelli.
