ABOUT DANIEL JOHNSTON

I am nurse having assumed a range of roles internationally and within the UK at world class institutions in leadership positions spanning clinical care, research and development as well as teaching, within the field of emergency medicine.(Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston MA- Teaching Hospital-Harvard Medical School, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust) My experience is informed from a breadth of knowledge in specialty disciplines, integrating clinical and operational healthcare expertise. I have forged a track record of advancing patient outcomes through collaborations across clinical disciplines, organisational management, clinical and academic institutions as well as industry.I have first-hand insight into the multiple challenges of healthcare provision within the UK and overseas (USA, Iceland, Denmark and Haiti). This has led to gaining a deep understanding of how evidence based solutions can be successfully formed from quantitative and qualitative analysis.The synergy of clinical knowledge and understanding of local organisational challenges informs my passion for quality/ service improvement for patients and informs my interest in organisational resilience in healthcare provision.
