ABOUT DANIEL JEFFERSON

Following Daniels further education including College and University studies Daniel has worked mainly in the utility sector of Laing O’Rourke Infrastructure on both the Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent Water rehabilitation contracts.Daniel has worked within the design teams on both contracts and has coming up with design solutions / construction drawings / thrust block design / design reports including HS & E plan, CDM risk assessments and method statements which meet the requirements of the clients and industry technical standards. He has always put safety first and looks at innovative methods to provide the required solutions.Daniel has now been appointed Quality Manager and Temporary Works Coordinator on his current contract. The new role requires Daniel to maintain the Quality Management System in relation to ISO9001:2008 and is the lead undertaker of the monthly project audits. As part of the role Daniel managers the KPI requirements for the contract including been the main contact for the client on all quality issues including internal and external Non-conformances and responsible for ensuring they are closed out in a timely manor. As the Temporary Work Coordinator on his current project Daniel is responsible for ensuring all temporary work requirements are identified, classified and their risks assessed and managed until completion onsite. Due to the requirements of the TWC and the geographical area covered by the contract Daniel has had to appoint and assess the need for Temporary Works Inspectors for the project to ensure all temporary works are managed. Within the role as Quality Manager Daniel has been tasked with the development of LORGIS (Laing O’Rourke’s GIS system) and all Innovation for the contract looking at new techniques, plant and software to help the project progress develop and improve.
