ABOUT DANIEL JÄNSCH

Joining Pall Corporation in 2019 as Lab Manager for the Scientific and Laboratory Services (SLS) Industrial lab, my first challenge comprised building up a new analysis and test lab. Our capabilities are aligned within our European laboratory network and cover the needs of the market segments Fluid Technologies and Asset Protection. The focus of our location is on supporting businesses development with our scientific and technological expertise in- Polymers- Chemicals - Chemical Recycling- EV/Battery Manufacturing As a research group leader driven by my curiosity and passion for chemistry, I contributed innovative synthetic solutions for printed organic electronics. Right after my PhD studies at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, I joined the InnovationLab in Heidelberg in 2016 as group head of the competence center synthesis, establishing a lab infrastructure for the growing group of six PhD students and various master students. I have a strong commitment to promoting individuals as well as the whole team within the frame of vivid and fruitful discussions. In highly interdisciplinary projects our team develops courageous ideas together with our partners from the other competence centers, including device physics, printing, analytics, and simulation, and realizes next-generation materials utilizing a feedback loop process. During national and international conferences and exhibitions, I proudly share and discuss the achieved research results either as an oral or poster presentation. My research interests include dyestuff chemistry, graphene nanoribbons, functional polymers, conjugated polymers, advanced materials for (printed) organic electronics, including active components and additives, as well as sensor arrays.Personally, I enjoy working in a highly interdisciplinary environment, in which creative and innovative thinking can be implemented in research activities and turned into reality. Competencies: Filtration and separation technologies, polymer and materials chemistry, organic synthesis, coordination of interdisciplinary and cross-functional projects, leadership and teamwork, project management, IP-management, presentation skills, quality management, lab operation, and lab safety.
