ABOUT DANIEL J HOGAN

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science, an MSc in Environmental Engineering and I am a Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Water and Environment Manager (CWEM) and have ten years’ post-graduate experience in the Engineering and Environmental Consultancy industry. Prior to joining the ESB in August 2021, I was employed as an Associate within RPS Group based in Belfast. Throughout my time with RPS I have gained a wealth experience in environmental consenting process for the port, pipeline and energy sectors. I have extensive knowledge and experience of the environmental requirements of major developments. I am experienced in the fields of water quality impact assessment, cumulative assessments, Environmental Licencing and Permitting, Environmental Management and the development and implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans. I am also experienced in the technical co-ordination of multi-disciplinary technical teams that are responsible for the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs), Reports to inform Screening for Appropriate Assessment (AA), Natura Impact Statements (NIS) and associated studies necessary to support planning applications and foreshore/marine license applications for major infrastructure projects throughout Ireland and the UK. I am an active member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) since 2012. I joined the CIWEM Northern Ireland Branch Committee in 2015 and served as the Chairman of CIWEM Northern Ireland Branch in 2020/21.
