RiskRecon handles third party risk management and does an assessment on a given company based on various factors found primarily through scanning and gathering information about their public facing assets. I\'ve primarily been working on backend processes including internal and external facing services, ETL processes, schema changes and migrations, data cleanup, query optimization, etc- significantly reduced used resources, reduced deployed image size and increased response times of our public facing APIs by an order of magnitude porting them from Ruby/Sinatra to Elixir/Phoenix as well as some other changes- similar improvements or even greater moving existing routes from our internal service written in Ruby/Rails to Elixir/Phoenix. This has been an ongoing project but is wrapping up. There are more people involved with this project than the public facing apis migration- increased performance and speed in large quantities of legacy code Working with AWS (ECS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB), ruby (rails, Sinatra, and scripts), python (queues, ETL, scripts, flask), and Elixir (Phoenix). Working with different data stores including Postgres, Dynamo and Elasticsearch. Focusing on backend, apis, data and ETL. I\'ve really been enjoying Elixir and phoenix.
