About Daniel Halevy
I am driven to shape our healthcare system into a model that will one day provide everyone with high quality, compassionate care. After clinical practice in internal medicine and nephrology, I leveraged my long-standing interest in evidence-based medicine and health information technology to transition to a healthcare startup that promised to improve patient outcomes and the practice of medicine. Fifteen years later, after leadership roles in public health as part of a multi-million-dollar federal electronic health record initiative, and with Medical Policy at the largest health plan in New Jersey, I returned to Aetna as it joined CVS Health - bringing together Aetna\'s expertise as a national payer, combined with a large local presence that brings healthcare closer to our members. Now at Healthfirst, I can draw on my knowledge and experience in population health to serve the most vulnerable populations in the New York City region.I\'ve been fortunate to have had strong mentors during my career, and look for opportunities to help colleagues and students best apply their knowledge and skills, and advance in their professions. The opinions and positions expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent the positions, strategies or opinions of my employer.Specialties: Board Certified, Nephrology and HypertensionBoard Certified, Internal Medicine
