ABOUT DANIEL GRISDALE

I have a strong background as an active business professional operating in the public and private business sectors as well as volunteering in the not-for-profit sectors in the Calgary and Western Canadian marketplace. These experiences have been enhanced and driven by the primary goal of maximizing revenues and profitability through the optimization of sales, market analysis and development of new market opportunities whilst fostering positive working environments and relationships. Acting as the CFO of a publically traded TSX corporation and several private companies, I have gained a firm understanding of all facets of an entire enterprise from financial management, governance, human resources, commodity marketing, fundraising, and regulatory concerns, particularly as they related to working in a substantial budget environment. Further, I have been able to gain strategic understanding of the complexities of a not-for-profit entity via my tenure as the Treasurer, Board Chair and Director of the Calgary Folk Music Festival as it transitions from an annual 4 day festival to a year round community partner with the completion of its new Festival Hall premises in Inglewood. Finally, I am a team oriented engaged strategic thinker (in, on, and out of the box) with the ability to provide inspirational solutions encompassing local and global perspectives as required.
