ABOUT DANIEL GILLEN
Leader, team builder, operational planner and effective communicator. TS/SCI Eligible. For 30 years I’ve been privileged to lead Sailors on ships and staffs for the US Navy. I’ve commanded a destroyer, the USS McFaul and a cruiser, the USS Hue City. As commander I trained, prepared and lead Sailors for long and complex worldwide deployments. I was a senior director on major staffs, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and directing simultaneous operations overseas. Most recently, I led a ROTC unit for Navy and Marine Corps officer candidates at Jacksonville University expanding the number of 4 -year scholarships by more than $5 million and teaching a 400-level capstone class on Leadership and Ethics. I earned a Masters in Management focused in Financial Management from Naval Postgraduate School and a Masters in Strategic Studies from the Air War College.
