About Daniel Gilad
Hi there! My name is Dan Gilad, and I’m a first-generation junior at the University of California, Berkeley. I’m currently pursuing a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies (AOI: Biogeochemistry and Climate Solutions), a B.A. in Political Science, and a minor in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies. My central interests lie in the history of political thought (particularly ancient), American Political Development, and democratic political theory. Beyond academia, I’m deeply committed to policy and public service. I’ve worked across the local, state, and national levels on issues of social justice, immigration reform, higher education accessibility, and environmental justice and sustainability & development. I am also a huge fan of sparkling water. My favorites include La Croix\'s mango and coconut flavors, Bubbly\'s cherry flavor, Spindrift\'s grapefruit flavor, and the sparkling water you get from a soda machine when you press the \"soda\" lever.
