ABOUT DANIEL GETZ
I am the Associate Dean of Broadcast and Media Communications at the B.C. Institute of Technology. I lead a highly experienced team of faculty and staff who educate and train the next generation of Broadcast and Digital content creators and technical personnel, preparing them for careers in media, journalism, communications, television and video production, radio, audio and podcasting. Prior to my new role, I spent more than 20 years in a range of roles at CBC News, including reporter, writer, producer, senior producer and executive producer. I worked in local and network/national news, leading teams of journalists and production professionals. I have also worked as a lawyer, specializing in litigation.
