ABOUT DANIEL GALLEY

Dan is an experienced finance professional with over 10 years of experience in both industry and professional services. Dan trained with KPMG as part of the school leaver programme where he was given the opportunity to study for both his degree and CA while simultaneously working as part of their Financial services audit sector. After qualifying, Dan then moved to Australia to pursue an opportunity in CFO Advisory where he was able to undertake a wide range of projects, seconding to client finance and regulatory reporting teams to further his specialism in the financial services sector. Dan’s experience in Australia was with CFO Advisory and included project management, process transformation, remediation of audit findings and chart of accounts development to help support his clients in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their finance functions. His recent projects have seen Dan acting as a banking and regulatory subject matter expert, helping with the interpretation and application of complex regulatory reporting standards as well as creating a robust and comprehensive controls framework that satisfies audit criteria.Prior to moving to Australia, Dan was based out of Edinburgh for 6 years, working in the financial services audit department. Here Dan gained a wealth of experience in leading statutory, regulatory (CASS) and ISAE3402 controls audits for his portfolio which included a FTSE 100 Asset manager, venture capital trusts and a variety of fund ranges. In this time Dan also developed a strong understanding of the financial sector, focusing on investment valuation and supporting clients with the introduction of new accounting standards.Other- Obtained Chartered Accountant qualification in 2017- Graduated from The University of Birmingham in 2016 (Accounting, Bachelor of Science)
