Primary focus areas of current role- Lead Biostatistician for AV planning, execution, and support through FDA review process - Provide Biostatistical support for the next generation of classifier models; work to improve and pressure test models developed by Bioinformaticists and also develop complementary modeling approaches (i.e, explore modeling strategies that are different from the Bioinformatics approaches that are in flight)- Provide Biostatistical support for miscellaneous research activities - Provide support to Clinical/Pivotal Biostatisticians when requested This change in external facing title is reflective of a recent re-organization and the corresponding changes in emphasis and scope of the Biostatistical support and leadership (in an independent contributor capacity) that I provide in my role at Guardant Health. This title corresponds to an internal level of Principal Biostatistician, which is a senior individual contributor (IC) role at Guardant Health that is junior only to Fellow on the IC track. A Principal Biostatistician in the IC track is equivalent to a Senior Director role in the managerial track, with respect to perceived rank and compensation.
