   Northwood School is a coeducational, independent boarding school in Lake Placid, NY. We offer a trimester-based college preparatory curriculum for students grades 9 through 12, plus a post-graduate year. Our student body is comprised of 190 students from around the United States and the world, 85% of whom live on campus. Our student to faculty ratio is 5:1, with an average class size of 10 students. In addition to our traditional college prep curriculum, we offer several Signature Academic Programs such as our L.E.A.P. program, an Entrepreneurship course, and an Innovation + Design program. Beyond the classroom, we offer students competitive athletic programs and co-curricular programs in arts, music, outdoor recreation, community service, and robotics.
