ABOUT DANIEL CARROLL

Daniel Carroll is an experienced network and cyber security professional from Swindon, United Kingdom, who has extensive experience working with Firewalls, WAFs, Routers and Linux based OS\'. Currently serves as a Cyber Security Engineer for Iceland Foods. With a diverse background, Daniel has previously worked within a SOC environment for multiple MSPs for over 16 years. This has provided Daniel with a broad depth of knowledge that will allow him to continue to excel in any field he pursues. Prior to his position at IP Performance Ltd, Daniel was an IT Security Analyst at GWR for over 2 years gaining invaluable experience of the rail network, a Network Security Engineer for NTT Security for eight years. In this role, Daniel gained support and security skills working with a variety of vendors, designed and implemented firewall and network device changes, and acted as a leader with his oversight and training of employees. In addition to his roles at FiveCRM and NTT Security, Daniel has worked as a Security Analyst at SecureData. Gaining a deep understanding of networking, working with firewalls, network devices, switches, routers, routing protocols, and monitoring systems. Daniel has expertise in PHP and Python Development, With an understanding of development workflow (Agile), version management (git, svn), CI/CD and MVC frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Flask).
