ABOUT DANIEL BUTCHER
Since I was young, I always liked math, data, and analysis. One of my earliest experiences dealing with personal finance decisions was helping my father decide on what inkjet printer to buy after reading review magazines and doing a cost-benefit analysis on which was the best printer for the money. He took my recommendation and was happy with the result, which made the then 11-year-old me quite proud. I never lost the love of research, analyzing data, and numbers, so as an adult I found myself getting interested in the world of finance, including debt, credit, budgeting and investing. It became a hobby of mine to help people understand and make good financial decisions. After doing this for a while, I found it was a calling of mine to help people understand the power of a financial education. I decided to make a career change, which led me to my position at Edward Jones.
