ABOUT DANIEL BOICE

After completing service in the military, I started out in the IT field. I was an intern for the State of Arizona Government Information Technology Agency for two summers in the first two years of the Management Information Systems program at the University of Arizona. I collaborated on coding software projects for state agencies and assisted with internal networking and computer hardware maintenance. I developed relational database programs for small businesses using Visual Basic and Microsoft Access. I completed a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Arizona with interests in logic, history, philosophy of science, consciousness, and other areas of western analytic philosophy. The degree included a wide array of other areas in liberal arts and sciences and minor studies in communications. I completed an MS degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix while working as a Case Manager at an intensive community mental health clinic for individuals with extraordinary life challenges. I completed an M.A. in Clinical Psychology after three years of full-time coursework and a year of practicum providing neuropsychological testing. I continued doctorate-level coursework for two more years and completed a half-year practicum providing psychotherapy with veterans at the VA while I was also employed working with seniors. I worked in the mental health and social services field in various other capacities while pursuing my education and continued to work on software development skills as a hobby. I published an iOS app in the Apple App Store for other doctorate students, available on GitHub. I re-entered the Tech Field by starting my own software company to research and improve my programming skills. I developed websites with React and worked with Python for several years learning Data Science programming. I discovered and embraced Salesforce as an awesome development platform. I completed a full-time salesforce training program and earned certifications as a Salesforce Administrator I and Developer then went to work as a salesforce developer with Randstad, and for the past year I have worked as a developer on a team with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC). I continued working on trailheads and certifications, adding the Advanced Admin certification shortly after. I further developed my skills by creating and enhancing new and existing LWC and Aura components, creating complex algorithms with Apex, and flows for automation. I worked closely with an offshore team and demonstrated achievements during sprint-end ceremonies every two weeks.
