ABOUT DANIEL BLAKEWAY
As a Field Application Scientist at NanoString, I flourish on collaborating with peers and developing professional relationships to enterprise customer adoption and success. I’ve had a central role, within the UK, establishing key customer sites and driving successful spatial projects. Utilizing my expertise in sequencing, molecular biology and histology, I work closely with my regional team to help promote and support Nanostring products. Providing pre- and post-sales applications support and technical support, to help maximize additional revenue from commercial growth opportunities.I have had great success over the last 2 years, training and supporting high impact customer sites across the UK. I have also established and lead a spatial biology consortium group among UK academia sites, troubleshooting areas of immunohistochemistry and imaging, project design and data analysis support.My previous position, as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Birmingham, I gained valuable research experience with extensive laboratory experience, specializing in the tumour microenvironment, molecular biology and genetics. I am knowledgeable and experienced in executing a range of laboratory techniques, data analysis and team leadership. Has proven skills working in numerous successful and productive research groups and on collaborative projects. Ambitious and committed to maintaining a consistent high standard of work, delivering on projects and driving research excellence. Practical abilities include single-cell RNA Sequencing, cell culture/ organoids, flow cytometry, spatial biology, NGS sequencing, CRISPR, histology and a range of molecular techniques. I enjoy and thrive as part of hard-working cross functional team.
