Over 20 years working in the oil and gas, energy and construction industries in a variety of Project Control Manager and Cost Engineering roles across modifications and large EPC projects, with responsibilities for managing and leading teams across multiple UK and overseas locations.Strong track record of problem solving and enhancing the project controls and cost engineering services through continuously improving and developing procedures, processes, reports and systems to minimise inefficient working practices and deliver a value adding service. During my 18 years at Wood, I was personally responsible for developing the careers of my team members through mentoring, training and motivation.KEY SKILLS- Over 20 years of experience with all aspects of project controls- Experience leading and managing project controls and cost engineering teams for several different clients in multiple office locations- Experience managing the project controls function across Europe and Africa with over 200 personnel in multiple countries and office locations- Cost engineering background managing budgets, commitments, expenditure, value of work done, forecasting, reporting and trend analysis- In-depth knowledge of estimating and planning along with project management principles and techniques- Excellent leadership, people management, communication and motivational skills- Proactive attitude- Experience in setting and managing functional and operational objectives- Excellent cost system knowledge, including assisting with development of new functionality- Focused on commercial awareness, managing client costs and change management- Experienced in several different commercial models including reimbursable, target price and lump sum- Adaptable working practices for work scopes ranging from repair orders, modifications, FEED’s, EPC projects, duty holder, operations and maintenance, decommissioning and manpower supply- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships at all levels of the business and with clients- Good working knowledge of Power BI and have personally developed and rolled out several project controls performance dashboards.
