ABOUT DANIEL BECERRA MICHEME

IChemE Chartered Process Engineer with 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, delivering onshore and offshore development projects across feasibility, concept, FEED, and operational support phases, with additional involvement in detailed design engineering.I have extensive expertise in the following areas: • Design of topside facilities, including heavy crude oil separation and stabilization systems, water treatment plants, and gas treatment facilities • Performance assessment of existing facilities to optimize process efficiency and reliability • Identification and development of technical solutions to mitigate operational and process challenges • Operational support to two gas terminals in the Netherlands (GSB and PGI), including analysis of PI data to perform process checks and calculations, identify key process drivers, and propose targeted improvement solutions • Assessment and optimization of compression systems and associated auxiliaries • Debottlenecking and capacity improvement studies • Feasibility studies, including economic screening and ranking of multiple technical options • Advanced user of process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS and PIPESIM • Strong working knowledge of international codes and standards, including API, ASME, and TEMA • Preparation of technical proposals and scope documentation for concept, FEED, and detailed design phasesI have served as Process Lead and Study Lead on multiple projects, providing technical direction, stakeholder coordination, and delivery oversight.Over the past four years, I have also held the role of Project Manager for small studies, concept engineering, task force scopes, and FEED projects. This role has included managing budgets of up to £1 million, leading multidisciplinary teams of up to 15 personnel, interfacing directly with clients, managing change processes, coordinating third-party contractors, preparing and presenting project reports, and developing scopes of work and commercial proposals.
