ABOUT DANIEL BATEREN
I’m a gap year student currently holding a place at a Russel Group university and a degree apprenticeship offer at a bank. I’m extremely passionate about social mobility and improving access to education for those in disadvantaged backgrounds. During the COVID-19 pandemic I ran an instagram account aimed to support students with studying during lockdown and provide information on the changes to GCSE and A-level exams, where I was able to help 500+ students within only a year. Since then, I spent my time during sixth form and during my gap year volunteering with social mobility organisations, to ensure that I can help others from similar backgrounds to myself and continue to improve social mobility.I’m passionate about in working within the technology sector and eager to connect with other young professionals within the tech industry.
