About Daniel B. Pourreau

With over twenty five years of experience in regulatory advocacy, LyondellBasell has promoted the use of oxyfuels (bio-ETBE, MTBE, and bio-MTBE) for cleaner transportation and lower-carbon fuels. Our current business development focus is on unleaded aviation gasoline for general aviation and sustainable, ethanol-free gasoline for off-road and marine markets. IDEAL EMP is our new offering in the US. It cost-effectively upgrades commodity gasoline grades (M and PBOB) to premium 93-octane ethanol-free gasoline while adding renewable content. ACELA (Asociación de Combustibles Eficientes de Latinoamérica) advocates for oxyfuels across six Latin American countries while supporting efforts to expand markets and defend existing ones in Mexico, Central America, and Chile. With Sustainable Fuels and the Asian Clean Fuels Association, we are one of three regional associations advocating for fuel ethers and fair competition in global fuels markets. By combining expertise in project coordination, marketing strategy, and regulatory advocacy, we contribute to sustainable energy solutions, global fuel innovation, and more competitive energy markets.
