I spearheaded the development of a new technical section under Cybersecurity, working closely with other executives and senior management. I defined the strategic objectives for this section, leveraging my analytical skills to align it with organizational goals, and conducted a detailed review of the existing budget to optimize staffing allocations. Once established, I began reaching out to public-sector and private-sector contacts, to identify the most qualified individuals for this team. I stood up a new Cybersecurity team in five months including the hiring of 13 new employees.As the team evolved, I guided us into specialized projects demanding deeper technical proficiency. My team has been challenged with projects such as designing a data taxonomy framework, integrating artificial intelligence into ISSO tools, managing projects with Agile methodologies, overseeing Qmulos onboarding, and implementing Multi-factor Authentication solutions.Presented “Using Artificial Intelligence To Transform How We Think About Cybersecurity Knowledge” to executive leadership. This presentation highlights the potential use of AI with retrieval augmentation sources, to convert complex security frameworks for knowledge extraction. The presentation also recognizes two different AI use cases: skill augmentation and skill amplification. Response to the presentation was very positive and has led to opportunities to build out a proof-of-concept project.In Application Development, I restructured the program roster based on budget cuts and funding for two value streams. I assisted other managers with employee skill evaluations and assign them to roles aligned with organizational goals.Directed a team of personnel and contractors across multiple Federated Delivery Teams, managing the operation and maintenance of major taxpayer applications. Ensured a resilient agile process to optimize customer service and ensured quality code reviews for applications before production deployment.
