I am Counsel in the Chief Counsel’s Office at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where I advise on legal and policy issues at the intersection of banking supervision and financial innovation.For over a decade, my work has focused on complex questions of bank and third-party service provider examination jurisdiction, regulatory authority, permissible activities, and the application of federal banking and consumer financial laws. I regularly support supervisory and policy initiatives involving cybersecurity, privacy, emerging technologies, and novel banking structures, with an emphasis on principles of safety and soundness.Within the Bank Advisory Unit, I routinely provide counsel to examination teams in the field and regulatory teams in Washington, including advising on interagency rulemakings and guidance. I also serve in a legislative counsel capacity, advising on proposed legislation affecting the OCC and its supervised institutions. Across these roles, my practice consistently involves complex administrative and constitutional law issues, interagency coordination, and participation in centralized regulatory review processes prior to OIRA consideration.I also act as a lead OCC attorney on multiple FFIEC initiatives, including the decennial EGRPRA review, and have substantial experience supporting cross-agency policy development.Admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.
