About Daniah Jones
As an incoming fourth-year Computer Science student specializing in Cloud Computing, I am driven by the powerful intersection of cloud technology and business strategy to shape industries, fuel growth, and create meaningful impact. The cloud industry goes beyond technology—it is a key enabler of digital transformation and operational excellence across diverse sectors. Through my experience at AWS, I’ve seen firsthand how strategic cloud adoption accelerates growth, fortifies security, and helps companies adapt in a highly competitive, data-driven landscape. In addition to my technical work, I am actively engaged in leadership roles that foster community and positive change. As President Emeritus of the National Society of Black Engineers at the University of Delaware, I build partnerships with industry leaders and implement initiatives that strengthen our chapter’s visibility and impact. My role in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority allows me to organize community service projects that champion empowerment and outreach, while my work as a Diversity Enrichment Leader focuses on creating an inclusive campus environment that supports underrepresented students. My ambitions extend into the business realm of cloud computing, with a goal to pursue an MBA. I am eager to build a strong foundation in business management to complement my tech expertise, equipping me to lead cross-functional teams and develop data-driven cloud strategies that drive scalability and innovation across organizations.
