ABOUT DANI LEBLANC
Danielle LeBlanc is the Director for the Center for Space Sciences and the Director of Immersive Theaters at the Museum of Science, Boston. She leads the programming vision and strategy for the Museum’s two iconic dome and giant-screen theaters - the Charles Hayden Planetarium and the Mugar Omni Theater - and oversees an award-winning team of educators, producers, and multimedia and visual effects artists.Ms. LeBlanc has been writing, producing, and presenting programs for the dome since 2003. Since the Planetarium’s conversion to digital technology in 2010, she has produced six original fulldome feature films which have been licensed by hundreds of venues across five continents, translated into dozens of languages, and screened at international festivals. She has welcomed partnerships and collaborations with industry colleagues, science researchers and visualizers, community partners, and multidisciplinary creatives to help position the Planetarium and Omni as leading venues for innovative, accessible storytelling and shared immersive experiences that transcend the boundaries of science, art, and technology.She has been enamored with Planetariums since she was a young girl and she considers it a privilege to contribute to this growing field and help realize the full potential of these incredible domed spaces for inspiring lifelong curiosity and wonder through science, art, community, and belonging.
