My work focuses on improving police-community relations by acting as a bridge between the department and specific populations within Baltimore. These populations include seniors, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, and deaf/hard of hearing communities. I work to enhance communication, build partnerships, and address the unique needs of these communities through strategic planning and program implementation. Serving as a primary point of contact between the BPD and community advocacy groups, identifying and resolving community issues, and organizing community engagement events. Including, assisting in training BPD officers on how to effectively interact with and support the communities they serve, particularly in critical incident responses within the specialized communities I’m assigned.
