About Dan Martin
I am a detailed, optimistic and energetic UX Designer with a drive to discover and incorporate new ways of working, thinking and solving. My experience in program management and international relations equips me with a unique empathetic lens that helps me understand users from diverse backgrounds.Currently working on the Business Transformation Team at Slalom on a number of initiatives. The primary focus at the moment is working with a development team to create a net-new custom platform to track client Engagements, improve accuracy in accounts receivable, project planning and budget forecasting for the entire company.Previously worked with our Custom Products Team and Data Experience Team where I was involved with a multitude of projects and initiatives including- Leading a discovery and redesign of our internal help platform portal to improve user navigation, taxonomy and access- Refreshing our Data Style Guide to adhere to company brand guidelines alongside creating branded Power BI templates for uniformed reporting across the company- Creating a uniquely branded, persona based reporting application- Internal Data Team Sharepoint site redesign for improved navigation and clearer content access.My day-to-day varies with activities like: Design Reviews | Stakeholder Demos | User Story Mapping | Stakeholder and User Interviews | Developer Brainstorming Sessions | Prototype Iteration and of the 9-5, you can find me at a ping pong table, looking at the northwest through a Sony A7 R4, getting hyped about new Peak Design gear, or diving into the latest tech and audio trends. I\'m also an avid traveler with a lifelong connection to Japan.
